Don’t worry if your books have simply been well read. A little dust is fine. We don’t expect all second hand books to look like new. However, we want to find each and every book a new home, so the condition of a book does matter and we cannot accept books with significant damage of any kind.
We can not accept books with the following problems
- Water damage, moisture damage or mould
- Badly stained or yellowing
- Noticeable smells
- Missing or torn pages
- Missing or torn covers (wear to the dust sheet is ok)
- Excessive writing or annotations
- Missing accompanying discs or accessories
- Promo, sample or proof copies
- Counterfeit copies
We are currently not looking for
- Mass-market fiction
- Book Club Editions (such as Reader’s Digest, BCA)
- Dictionaries & Encyclopaedias
- Books without an ISBN number
We can accept ex-library books that are in good condition. We also accept books with a little writing, such as signed copies, an owners name on the inside of the cover or the occasional note or highlighted line.
Please be aware that our demand for books may fluctuate, so we cannot always offer to collect them. Acceptance of any books remains at our sole discretion.
